The Mew That Wasn't a Coincidence

Catching Mew in Pokemon Go was a genuine moment of excitement, the kind of catch that gets a screenshot sent immediately to family. So I sent the catch screen to my little brother, stats and all, expecting a "congrats" back.

Instead, he sent back a screenshot of his own Mew - the exact same one, down to the same stats. For a solid, confusing minute I actually entertained the idea that we'd somehow caught matching Mews at the same time, before it clicked that he'd simply saved my screenshot and sent it right back to me as a joke.

It's a small prank, but it's stuck with me - equal parts "I can't believe I fell for that" and appreciation that he cared enough to mess with me about it.
